UFC 246: Connor McGregor will fight for the first time in more than a year in the Octagon with Donald Theron, a well-known cowboy.
McGregor’s last outing, a return to the sport that himself made his name after his foray into boxing, he was stopped in the fourth round by Habib Nurmagomedov and a Russian fighter named UFC Lightweight. Filed to claim and won.
The Irish seek to return to the path of victory over cowboys but have not ruled out fighting Nurmagomedov again to regain his belt.

Tickets, There are many fascinating battles on this card from top to bottom, and some claim that they are not overly stacked compared to things like UFC 244 or UFC 245, but they don’t have to be.
It doesn’t make sense to continue the title fight before McGregor vs Cowboy, and beyond that, a really exciting man trying to light up Las Vegas before those two men get the chance to get in there and a woman. 3️⃣
Here’s almost the UFC return that Connor McGregor longed for.
Dublin will join the Octagon for the first time in 15 months facing Donald Cerrone on January 18.
Prior to the battle, “Cowboy” claims he was a better MMA fighter than McGregor.
Talking to MMA Fighting, he said: “Do you feel like a better mixed martial artist? Absolutely. I feel like I’m in a trench. I’ve been in a big fight. I have been walking this road many times.
“This is my 51st MMA battle coming out of that tunnel. Literally I did it more than anyone.”
The infamous man had sawed at the UFC when lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov in October 2018, and he hopes to return to the path of victory over Cerrone.
“Cowboy” wins the UFC more than anyone else, but loses the last two games to Justin Goethe and Tony Ferguson, respectively.
To be honest, it’s hard to imagine Cerrone breaking McGregor. At the age of 36, he lost the last two races and his speed has dropped noticeably.
Cerrone seems to be the perfect companion to return McGregor to a lightweight, welterweight major title.
McGregor will probably win the first or second-round TKO. 5️⃣
